At Berg Elementary, Student Council Representatives are chosen by their peers each quarter. This gives a wider range of students the opportunity to get a sampling of what student government is about. There are four meetings per quarter and at each meeting a different set of officers is chosen.
The first project the Student Council worked on was to write a Berg Constitution and construct a hand-made flag that was used at a Constitution Day Ceremony on September 17th. Both of these are displayed in the school halls.
To celebrate successfully completing the first quarter of the school year, we will be having a Tailgate Celebration on Wednesday, October 21t.
The afternoon will be packed full of fun activities for the students. The DSU Blue Hawks Football players will be in the gym and they plan to bring their “game”.
The students will rotate to different stations as they make “spooktacular” discoveries with the DHS Mad Scientists; Meteorologist, Curt Olsen from KFYR TV; Annette Newbert of BLM ND Archeology Dept.; and a session on financial literacy presented by DSU.
The purpose of this survey is to find out your opinions about your child’s school.
The survey will be open until December 10th.
